AN EXCEPTIONAL PAIR OF REGENCY CUT GLASS DECANTERS BY PERRIN GEDDES

A rare pair of regency decanters of shouldered form, elaborately cut with radial bases with fan edge. The bodies with raised diamonds and swirl gadrooning, supporting double ring necks with diamond band lips fitted with pineapple stoppers.

The decanters of a close form to the Prince of Wales service made by Perrin & Geddes, 1808.

  • Literature For the almost identical decanter see page 276 an example from the Liverpool Corporation service of 1805 finely engraved with the liver bird this service was made for the Royal visit to Liverpool in 1806 the Prince of Wales was struck by the city corporation's service. Eager to please the King , the corporation commissioned the Royal Prince of Wales service from Perrin, & Geddes in 1808.
