A SUPERB WILLIAM IV TENT & WATERFALL CHANDELIER
REF: FA1579
A William IV period chandelier of tiered tent and waterfall form, masterfully combining the brilliance of cut glass prisms with the refined gilt detailing. The chandelier features cascading drops of faceted glass arranged in graduated tiers, each meticulously cut to capture and refract light with dazzling intensity. Six gilt candle arms extend from the central band, their scrolling design embellished with acanthus leaves and delicate floral rosettes mounted to the band.
The upper section, composed of tapering tent like crystal prisms, draws the eye upward to a corona of faceted rule drops, while a single cut glass sphere beneath completes the composition with a perfect note of symmetry.
